Popcorn or Cotton Candy? help me decide!

This year, I will be selling snacks at craft shows instead of my primitive crafts.

I'm trying to decide whether to sell popcorn or cotton candy.

Help me decide by voting for the one that you would be more likely to purchase at a show.

The verdict is in....almost everyone voted for popcorn, so popcorn it is!  I'll be purchasing a popcorn machine this Spring and popping up a storm in the summer at shows!
Thanks to everyone that voted and helped me decide. :)

Primitive Tissue Box Cover & Church Dolls ~finished!~

I got some crafting done this weekend.  I'm becoming quite the "homebody", not wanting to go out anywhere, being cozy and comfy at home.  Especially with all the snow we've had here.

I bought the paper mache tissue box cover probably a year ago.  Finally decided what to do with it!
I made it into a pattern with instructions that will work for any size box.  Perfectly prim!
E-Pattern is available at http://www.simplyprimpatterns.com/ and it's only $3.99!

Today I finished another project that has been waiting patiently in the craft room.  My sewing machine has been waiting to be working right for about a month.  I got the tension figured out today and finished up my primitive church doll roll.  I love it!

It's available in my etsy shoppe for $24.99.    http://www.priviesandprims.etsy.com/
I only made one set, so don't wait if you're lovin' it.  :-)

blessings to ya!

I Think God is a Quilter~

I'm not a quilter, but I joined a Quilt Guild to meet new friends.   This poem was in our recent newsletter and I wanted to share it with you~~~

I Think God is a Quilter

(Author Unknown)

I think God is a quilter
Who takes His needle and thread
To piece our world from nothingness
And give it form, instead.

I think God is a quilter
And everything I see
Are pieces from His careful hand
From tree to bumblebee.

I think we see God's stitches
His texture everywhere;
The velvet moss, the grainy sand,
The silky strands of hair.

I think God is a quilter;
Stitching tight and tiny rows,
Adding to my scraps and pieces,
Seaming everything He knows.

I think He cuts the patterns
From what I'd throw away.
He shows me how to use each scrap
In His redeeming way.

I think God quilts a pattern
From everything I live;
But He can only stitch the quilt
From what I choose to give.

I think God is a quilter
Stitching strength where I am weak.
Showing me that life He touches
Embraces everything I seek.

I think God is a quilter
From the patience in each thread;
Proving length of time no barrier;
Treating time a gift, instead.

I think quilts are lessons
God uses just to teach
That our pieces and our remnants
Have kaleidoscopic reach.

So, in the life I'm living
With pieces everywhere
I'll give them to the Quilter
To stitch with loving care.

I'll give them to the Quilter
Unwanted though they be
And with His work of quilting
He'll make a quilt of me.
