House for Sale in Burnsville, NC

I almost bought this brick house, but decided to purchase one closer to my parents house. This particular house is for sale by owner. (fsbo) Their asking price is $129,000 which is a great deal. The house looks to be in excellent condition and as clean as they come! It does need a bit of updating, but nothing that you couldn't do later. All appliances are included. Furniture is not.

The house is 1160 sq. ft. and comes with a shed and a brick workshop. The land is .75 acres and the Yancey County property tax is only $357.99!!! Two bedroom, one bath and built in 1964. Oh, and there's hardwood floors under the carpet and a garden area just past the shed!!!

New patterns are flowing!

I've finished up some primitive patterns and they're for sale in my etsy shoppe!

A 10x13 penny rug wall hanging to add to your fall decor. It's got a big prim crow and a tall, skinny pumpkin.

My other new pattern is for a punch needle prim snowman ornament which I've put on a piece of antique gold wool felt.

Framed Punch Needle projects for Sale!

I've just listed these two cute prim sheep punch needle projects in my etsy store. I'm surely "hooked" on punch needle, so there will be lots more coming!

I'm finding that when you do punch needle, no matter how small the project, it's like your fabric stash. No matter how much floss you have, you always need one more skein of a certain color to finish your project.

So, not only will I have a huge fabric stash to pull from, but now I'll have to have a huge embroidery floss stash also!

Craft Show review

Some of the photos in the slide show were from the Heritage Hollow tent at the show. They started doing that a few years ago. It's a HUGE tent right on the Town Square and all old timey demonstrations under there, nothing for sale. They also set out a row of hay bales for people to sit on since it's shady. I love seeing all the old ways of making things.

I didn't take many photos of the actual crafter booths cause it's too dangerous to walk around! I didn't even see 1/4 of the show and I bought over $100 from one vendor!

I had a great two days of sales. Friday was pretty crazy until around 2:00-3:00 and then it slowed down. Both days were pretty hot, so I didn't miss having a booth AT ALL!!!!!! I was sitting in a/c all day, didn't have to pay a booth fee, didn't have to pack stuff up and lug it around, and didn't have to sit out in the HOT sun. It was in the high 80's both days. I think this was the first time that it didn't rain at all. Not even a sprinkle!

I'm opening tomorrow for a few hours (11-3) in case there are still tourists in town that didn't make it in. I'll finish up some stuff today to take in, so there will be something new. Only sold one doll all weekend. That was surprising, but you never know from one show to the next what will be popular.

My next show will be at Wolf Laurel Country Club in Mars Hill, NC on September 5th which is Labor Day weekend, then I'll be at the Waynesville Apple Festival on October 17th.

Today was the first day of the Mt. Mitchell Crafts Fair in Burnsville, NC and it was a grand day!

I moved lots of stuff outside as you can see in the photo. I had the a/c on, so folks loved coming in to visit for a bit. ;) The sun was shining bright all day and there was a big crowd.

I've come home, showered, changed into my jammies and I'm sitting back eating my kettle korn. What more could a girl ask for?!?

The show starts all over again tomorrow at 9am and runs till 5pm. Make sure you stop by and say hello!

New Paint Color for my store!

I have painted over the pink. Yipppppeeeee!

I painted my section of the building a yummy chocolate brown with tan trim. In the paint bucket, it looks just like melted chocolate!

I'm still working on my signage. A new sign will be hung over the door tomorrow and a barn star on each side of it. I'll post a new photo when we get it done.

Be looking for my store this weekend when you come to the craft fair. I'll have lots of prim goodies for ya. And~~~ I even bought a bag of Mary Janes to share. ;)

Mount Mitchell Crafts Fair this weekend!

This is the biggest weekend for Burnsville, NC. The weekend of the Mt. Mitchell Crafts Fair. The whole town gets spruced up and artists work like crazy to make their inventory for the show. I have lived in NC for 10 years and this is the first year I will not have a booth in the fair. I have my little store now on West Main St. across from the theatre, so be sure and stop by. I'm working hard as I can making new primitives for ya to take home! I'll have the a/c on, so stop by even if just for a chat and a chance to cool off. See ya this weekend!
