I'm tired tonight, how bout you???
Babysitting in the morning, go to work at the new store, babysit in the afternoon, then come home and cook dinner, then work till bedtime on crafts to sell. Makes a gal plum tuckered out!
Tonight I had to make sure I have 4 things finished for the next celebration on etsy. The gals at the Olde Farmhouse Gathering are working hard to get ready for Spring! I've seen the photos and you don't want to miss it! Save your pennies cause I know you're gonna see some prims that you just can't live without. There's even some shabby chic pretties!
Time for some shut eye and do it all again tomorrow. :)

My nephew won state championship!

I just have to share the great news our family is so proud of! My nephew, Danny Bell from GA, just won the state championship in wrestling! The best in the whole state of Georgia is something to be proud of!
Here's part of the newspaper article: "DULUTH — Flowery Branch's Danny Bell wins state wrestling title.
When the wrestling season started, Flowery Branch junior Danny Bell never envisioned it ending like this. Maybe that’s a good thing.
The Falcons’ 119-pounder defeated Eastside’s Danny Gatt, 6-1, earning the Class AAA traditional state title Saturday at the Arena at Gwinnett Center. Bell joins B.J. Johnson (2004) as the only state wrestling champions in Flowery Branch history.
Bell finished the season with a 61-2 record, an Area 7-AAA title and Hall County championship under his belt."

Danny is the one in the black. Way to go Danny!!!

More photos of my new store!

Finally got everything organized today. I still have some more things to put out and also more crafters will be adding their items in the next week. It still looks a little bare, but I'm sure that will change soon. :)

Here's the great graphic that Mandie designed for my store's window lettering. Thanks Mandie! You can visit her site too! http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=5208750

Making progress on the store set-up

Here's some photos I took today of the work we got done yesterday. I was gone most of the day today, so I didn't get to spend any time at the store. We got some more display pieces moved in, but I didn't have time to do anything else. Tomorrow's another day. :)
My son had his annual oncology appt. today and he is still cancer free after almost 8 years out of treatment! He had Ewing's Sarcoma on his left ribs when he was 7 years old. Praise God for His healing and the knowledge He gives our doctors. We are VERY thankful to say the least.

Should have more photos tomorrow. I'll be working in there most of the day after I have my Friday breakfast with the girls.
Enjoy the day!

And the winner is.................................

The winner of my penny rug candlemat in the blog contest is Jax of San Jose, CA.
You can visit her blog at http://jaxsbeads.blogspot.com/

Congrats to Jax and thanks to all that entered!!! (really)

I have a store now!!!

I just rented the cutest little store in downtown Burnsville, so if you travel into the western border of NC, be sure to come and visit me!

I'll be adding more photos later as I get everything set up. I've already painted over the pink parts and the rear wall with tan paint. Sure wish I could paint over the pink on the outside!

The giveaway for the penny rug has ended and the winner will be announced tomorrow!

Check back tomorrow night to see who the lucky winner is. I won't be online until evening. My son is a cancer survivor and he has his annual check up tomorrow, so we'll be gone all afternoon.

Talk to ya soon. :)

Crow Penny Rug Purse & Primitive Sheep mat

Here's today's additions to my latest creations available on etsy. I actually made a penny rug purse! I'm soooo hooked on making these penny rugs. I cut several at one time, then get comfy on the recliner and start stitchin'. Gotta sell some before they take over the house!

Today's Penny Rug

I used a rug hooking pattern from Create & Decorate magazine to make this one. Chose my own colors and changed the design just a bit. Added tongues and here it is! It's about 17" tall, so it's a big one.
If I keep going, at this rate I'll have a good pile for the summer craft shows!

I got 12 new patterns in the mail yesterday, so there's no time to rest. ;)

This one joins the others in my etsy shoppe. http://www.priviesandprims.etsy.com/

Folk Art Sheep Penny Rug finished!

I took a couple patterns, mixed them together, added some of my own touch, and this is what I came up with! I think it turned out pretty cute. When someone shrinks a wool sweater, think sheep!

It's for sale in my etsy shoppe. (link to the side)

My reorganized craft/laundry room

This is what I did all day Saturday. It started out of necessity when I had to get a filing cabinet out of there that I had sold. I REALLY wasn't in the mood to do this, but as I worked, I kind of got in the mood. This is about as neat as it will ever be. :) Notice to the right, you see the edge of my washing machine. Next to that is the dryer. So,,,,I have VERY little room to work in! Since this is where I'll be for 2 more years until my son graduates, this is all I have. :)
Where there's a need for storage, we will find it!
What the photos don't show, is more fabric, patterns, paints, etc. that are stored in various places throughout the house!
How much is enough? Just a little bit more. ;)
